Our Mission
Not one drop wasted.
25+ countries experience water stress every year. Every year, the list gets longer.
Managing moisture with intention and precision is no longer simply a business advantage, compliance issue, or a “earth friendly” box to check – it’s critical for the good of humanity and the planet.
Everyone stands to benefit.

Our priorities

Controlled environment agriculture
CEA agriculture consumes less water, causes less environmental harm, and can bring exponentially larger yields.
We offer indoor growers groundbreaking AI-powered tools to maximize yield and quality – and cut resource consumption.

Food manufacturing
The water in a food product has an profound impact on its safety, quality, sensory appeal, packaging, shelf life, production efficiency, and much more.
Our suite of solutions help food companies ensure safety, quality, and economy from first concept to final consumer.

Research and development
Fractional amounts of water can create radical changes in the physical qualities of food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, building materials, and more.
We help scientists and researchers innovate and improve the world with precise, accurate and reliable measurement tools.
Precision starts with perception
The Addium approach
In the past, moisture and its impact have been deeply misunderstood or entirely ignored. The result? Mismanaged resources, lost profitability, individual illness, and environmental damage.
We apply science, software and sensors to wash away old misconceptions and map a better course forward. Our tools and solutions follow a three-part philosophy.
Make the invisible visible.
We measure, quantify, clarify, and eliminate abstraction.
Make the visible actionable.
Make the actionable automated.

Our story
The company that became Addium was born more than 40 years ago from the inventions of one man: Gaylon Campbell. A renowned researcher, soil physicist and university professor, he patented several remarkable new sensors to accelerate his research efforts.
When Campbell’s family learned of the frequent requests to license his new technologies, they led him to start a business to market his inventions.
In the decades since, the company has grown and branched far beyond its familial beginnings, but the culture of scientific rigor and insatiable curiosity that Gaylon cultivated remains at the root of everything we do.
